Boiler Globe Valve
This ChemWorld 1/2" NPT Globe Valve and is used for throttling or metering the flow restriction near the boiler sensor. Reducing the steam rate is required to prevent steam flashing. Without a boiler globe valve false reading may be sent to your boiler blowdown controller, resulting in the boiler blowdown valve to power on/off repeatedly. Boiler blowdown orifice may also be used in replace of a boiler globe valve.Improper control of your boiler blowdown controller will also increase blowdown rates, increased energy costs, and increase steam boiler chemicals use.
