I ordered your ChemWorld Inhibited Propylene Glycol > 95% for my home brew glycol chiller. It’s a home brewing glycol chiller for fermentation. It says on the jug to dilute with water less than 100ppm. Is diluting with RO or distilled water a good choice to reduce the chance of later contamination in the system with mildew or whatnot or will that be too harsh on the metal components in the system? Is city tap water ok with chlorine or chloramines in it to dilute with RO to get below 100ppm?

Good quality city water is generally ok to dilute Chemworld Food Grade Inhibited Propylene Glycol. If you want to be 100% sure then we recommend using Deionized Water or Distilled Water in the system. The corrosion inhibitor in the Glycol will protect the metals in your system from corrosion.
