1 Gallon containers of ChemWorld Chiller Coolant 1000. ChemWorld Chiller Coolant 1000 is a proprietary Corrosion Inhibitor & Cleaner that is designed for direct use in small chiller applications. Just add directly to your chiller to prevent corrosion and bacteria growth. Add directly. Do not dilute. This product may be mixed with Propylene Glycol. ChemWorld Chiller Coolant 1000 is a non-propylene glycol solution. If you require a glycol-based solution, please refer to ChemWorld SubZero.

How are the thermal transport conditions for that additive?

Similar to water.

Is it allowed to be disposed of like normal water, or are there any restrictions?

In general, the concentration of the additives is low enough that the treated water should be able to be discharged without concerns; however, local regulations should be checked. The preservative is biodegradable, so discharging the treated water with the preservative should not be an issue.

If I plan to update an existing water circuit with known biological growth issues, can this fluid kill the biological waste and remain active?

The Chiller Additive is designed to keep systems clean and can treat systems that have low levels of existing biological growth. However, the product is not designed to treat systems with significant levels of existing biological growth. Systems suspected of having biological growth should be pre-cleaned before adding the Chiller Additive. Cleaning and flushing the system with hydrogen peroxide and a surfactant should properly clean the system before adding the Chiller Additive.

How long can this fluid stay in my system if it is pumped nearly permanently and the whole loop contains about 3 gallons?

The system should be able to effectively treat the system for a period of 2 years. We recommend that the system be drained and refilled every 18 months to maintain effective protection.

Is ChemWorld Chiller Coolant safe in a system with aluminum and cast iron? We have aluminum in the chiller and iron in the extruder.

ChemWorld Chiller Coolant 1000 was formulated as a ready-to-use product. The coolant is a closed-loop treatment designed for aluminum-containing systems. The additional treatment components are formulated to protect the remaining metals (mild steel, copper, etc.).

What is the shelf life of ChemWorld Chiller Coolant 1000? Can we store this on the shelf indefinitely?

The shelf life of ChemWorld Chiller Coolant 1000 is 12 months for insurance purposes.

Will ChemWorld Chiller Coolant 1000 do the same job as a typical glycol-based product?

No, Chiller Coolant has a freeze point similar to water. It will not work as an antifreeze.

Does ChemWorld Chiller Coolant 1000 prevent algae growth?

Yes, CCC1000 contains a preservative and will prevent algae growth.
