A properly selected dampener will assist in steadier product flow. It may also minimize pipe vibration and prolong electronic life. Dampeners also may decrease a diaphragm pump NPSH by reducing the acceleration pressure losses due to the opening and closing of an inlet ball valve.
How to understand the Part Numbers:
- The first two digits "PD" stands for Pulsation Dampener.
- The numeric values are the cubic inch volume of the bladder. Example: PD175 is 175 cubic inches.
- After the numeric values. SS stands for 316 stainless steel, PV stands for PVC, AL stands for Alloy 20, SSH stands for 316 stainless steel (high pressure).
- The last digit of the part number is the bladder material. "V" is for a Viton Bladder. "E" is for an EPDM Bladder. "T" is for a Teflon Bladder.
