Description
Iron Phosphate Sealing Rinses
Mildly-Acidic Sealing Rinse for Iron Phosphate Coatings. Low concentration traditional non-chrome seal. Increases coating weights and salt spray without corrosion. ChemWorld NCS Rinse is:- A concentrated mildly acidic polymeric sealing rinse designed to provide a final rinse to phosphatized metal.
- Helps prevent flash rusting during dry down, and provides improved corrosion resistance to the applied paint finish. ChemWorld NCS Rinse reacts similar to chromic sealing rinses by forming a light (2-4-mgs / ft2) phosphate coating which is chemically bonded to the metal surface.
- Seeks out and fills any voids in the primary phosphate coating.
- Buffered to prevent chemical attack to the rinse stage components.
- Acceptable to wastewater treatment facilities, as it contains no toxic metals, and upon 0.25%BV use dilution has a pH of above 5.5.
- Concentration: 0.1 to 0.5% by volume.
- Temperature: Ambient to 140F.
- Target Operating pH: 4.2 - 5.2 based on required results.
- Contact Time: As available; Typically 10 to 60-seconds contact time
