1. Place 5 drops of Taylor DPD Reagent No. R-0001 in an empty, clean test cell;
2. Place 5 drops of Taylor DPD Reagent No. R-0002 in the same cell;
3. Fill sample cell (containing the reagents added in steps 1 and 2) to mark with water to be tested. Mix well by stirring;
4. Compare color and record reading as ppm bromine;
5. For high bromine (to 10 ppm) cell #4025 (thick walled) must be used. All cells should be positioned so the frosted side faces the operator.
IMPORTANT:
1. Thoroughly wash sample tube and stirring rod before and after each test;
2. Rinse equipment well with water to be tested before performing any scientific water analysis;
3. Protect reagents from prolonged exposure to sunlight and excessive temperatures;
4. Reagents are for test purposes only; carefully read precautions on all labels.
