Total Bacteria Slides

ChemWorld Total Bacteria dipslide paddles, 10 per box. ChemWorld Dip slides have all the advantages of standard microbiology without any of the drawbacks.

Bacteria grow as Red or colorless colonies. The Brown side will detect the presence of yeasts and/or fungi

Directions:

  1. Unscrew the cap and withdraw the cap and dip slide from vial. Be careful not to touch the agar dip slide.
  2. Dip or immerse the slide into the fluid to be tested, covering the agar for a minimum of three seconds. Allow the excess fluid to drain from the slide.
  3. Remove remaining drops by gently shaking off the drops from the slide. Screw the cap back on lightly and back off the cap a half of turn. Incubate the vial in an upright position at 77 to 95 F.
  4. The dip slide should be examined in the plastic vial for growth 24 hours after the commencement of incubation and after a total of 48 hours of bacterial growth.
  5. Compare counts to chart provided and record results.

Which is the Agar material on your Total Bacteria and Yeast/Fungi Dipslides?
The bacteria agar on our Chemworld Dipslides is TSA: Tryptic Soy Agar. The fungal agar is also tryptic soy agar with antibacterial agents to suppress bacterial growth.
What is the shelf life of the Total Bacteria and Yeast/Fungi Dipslides?
The shelf life is approx. 3 months.
Do these Bacteria Dipslides detect Legionella in water? If this is not the correct test for Legionella, do you have a kit for that?
Our CW-847 Dipslides will only indicate if there is a general bacteria issue in your water system. For Legionella specific testing please refer to our Legionella Test Kits.
